2022 Annual Conference

 July 28-29, 2021 (Online)

Conference Overview - Registration open here!

You're invited to a free, virtual meeting of Ex Libris users in the Bluegrass region and beyond.  Our conference theme will focus on improving the inclusivity and accessibility of our collections, services, and spaces.  We are happy to announce that Treshani Perera, Music & Fine Arts Cataloging Librarian at the University of Kentucky, will deliver our keynote address.  Our schedule overview is below.  Since we'll be meeting in virtual spaces, registration is encouraged but not required (link to registration form).  We are also seeking nominations for Chair-Elect for the term starting after the conference.  Please visit this site to learn more about the position and submit a nomination.

University of Kentucky
Transforming the Catalog for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility

"This keynote presentation will present the work being done at the University of Kentucky Libraries to address issues around problematic subject headings and identifying local solutions to implement in Ex Libris Alma and Primo. The keynote will address the need for identifying and addressing biases in systems and standards used in cataloging, and the role local workflows and advocacy groups play in improving diversity, equity, and inclusion in integrated library systems. Attendees will also learn about steps and strategies to take to conduct similar work at institutions using Ex Libris products, and come away with an understanding of projects and initiatives for addressing problematic subjects locally using tools and features available via Ex Libris products."
